Mary Jane Perez, or “Janey” as her friends and clients know her, is the proud mother of three grown children. Although born in New Mexico, Janey has spent most all her life here in California. And, for many years she owned and operated a very successful local restaurant business. There she definitely learned the lessons of how to deliver top-drawer service to her cherished customers, as well as how to put together a strong support staff to affect the delivery of that service.
As a bilingual real estate agent, Janey works exceptionally hard both for buyers, particularly first-time homebuyers, and her sellers. Speaking Spanish, she effortlessly translates and explains with ease the abundance of complex contracts and documents typical of all real estate transactions to her clients.
Janey tirelessly researches all available homes, knows well areas and school districts, and is often characterized as having the unlimited patience “only a grandmother can have”. Her clients always refer their friends and relatives to Janey for her unique real estate service, and consider themselves lucky to have her as their real estate agent. And Ellington Properties is lucky to have her, too.
Melanie Webb has a perfect background for real estate having worked diligently as an appraiser since 1988. Through her years of hard work, she obtained extensive experience in valuing real estate and became a well-regarded expert in her field. Melanie and her husband live in the Land Park area of Sacramento and have since 1990. She well understands that most homes provide both peace of mind as a place to call home and a sense of security as excellent long-term investments. “Many times homes are more than just bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage,” Melanie says.
Balancing sports schedules, checking homework, and planning birthday parties for four children have made Melanie a master of time management. She also actively volunteers in her community playing a key role as one of the founders of the Land Park Home Tour, a major funding source for visual and performing arts programs for local schools. Singing with Schola Cantorum, the internationally renowned choir of Sacred Heart Church, is another of her favorite pastimes.
“Working together with others for the greater good always produces a wonderful sense of accomplishment for me,” says Melanie. Her tireless involvement in a variety of family, community, and work endeavors has enabled her to cultivate many rewarding and lasting relationships. “Personal relationships are so very important to me,” Melanie explains. “I’m always gratified to help all my friends and clients any way I possibly can with any of their real estate needs.”
By growing up in Sacramento, Ted has a vast knowledge of the local area and market. His family has resided in Sacramento for four generations and are well known in the community.
With his background in Advertising and IT, along with his education in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at Sacramento State, Ted is a key player in all property transactions not only with his own listings and buyers, but also countless multi-million dollar homes and a number of Northern California subdivisions.
Knowing a great area to raise a family or to make an investment takes more than just a great floorplan at the right price. It is the surrounding people, schools, parks and activities offered along with convenience in location which make up the entire identity of the neighborhood. Ted loves being able to find a home nestled in an area that a buyer would have never found and let them make it their own special place.
Before becoming a licensed agent, Virgil McKenzie had an avid interest in homes and construction. He purchased his first home in 1993 and hasn’t stopped since. He was able to purchase 6 more homes. In 2000, he began working with Fran Dixon finding investment properties to buy sell and trade. To date he has personally flipped over 30 homes. His success with these investments can be credited to his keen eye for value and the costs associated with fixing a property to obtain maximum return on investment. He has a solid construction background as a general contractor and has owned his own home improvement company.
Born and raised in Sacramento, Virgil has extensive knowledge of the area and is well-rooted here in Sacramento. He recently married the love of his life Alisha and achieved a life-long dream of starting a family. His new daughter from marrage, Haley, is the light of his life.
